Who we’re looking for 
 

Toyota’s Assembly Internal Logistics Pilot Team is looking for a passionate and highly motivated Engineer. The primary responsibility of this role is to support new models and model year changes. This role will report to the Assembly IL Pilot Manager.

Manage Shop Layouts and Space Creation – New, Modified and Relocating of commodities

Create and Maintain project timelines

Work with Integration, Production, and Near Site Suppliers to implement the projects

What you’ll be doing  

Support cross functional teams consisting of production, safety, conveyance, maintenance, inspection, quality engineering, FAE, and other departments

Liaison to TEMA FAE for shop layout, space creation, and schedule considerations

Applicants must be capable of creating shop layouts and working through space concerns while meeting ILE standards

Applicant must possess good communication skills to share proposals with all levels of leadership at TMMI

This position requires weekend work, holiday shutdown work, and confirmation support to allow for smooth restart of production

Domestic and international travel up to 25%

What you bring 

Bachelor of Science in Engineering -or- Engineering Technical Degree or Mfg. Engineering with 5 years of industry experience

AutoCAD experience

Proficiency in analyzing contractor 2D drawings and implementing into shop floor layouts

Proficiency with Autodesk Suites CAD

Ability to travel Domestically and Internationally up to 25%

Ability to weekend work, holiday shutdown work, and confirmation support to allow smooth restart of production as needed

Added bonus if you have

Previous automotive manufacturing experience in Internal Logistics

Project Management Experience

Team Leader experience

Capital budget management

Internal Logistics Pilot experience

Internal Logistics Design experience

1 year of experience leading cross functional teams
