The Stryten factory in Salina, Kansas is one of the largest lead-acid battery manufacturing sites in North America with 800 employees capable of producing more than 35,000 quality batteries per day. These batteries can be found in your car, in your boat or RV, or, in your lawn and garden equipment. Stryten proudly supports the local community by regularly participating in Project Salina, the Salvation Army Angel Tree program, and providing more than 100 volunteers for the Smoky Hill River Festival.
We’re seeking a passionate and results-driven Assembly Department Manager to lead our battery assembly operations. In this role, you’ll champion safety, quality, efficiency, and on-time delivery. Responsibilities Manage the manufacture of product within the standards of budget, policies, procedures, priorities, and quality.Directly supervise shift supervisors.Develop and implement methods to improve productivity, space utilization, and quality.Assure compliance with all safety and health policies and procedures.Train and develop supervision to include hourly work force.Determine required staffing and maintain efficient use of hours.Monitor and assure housekeeping and orderliness throughout the department.Collaborate with maintenance to ensure optimal efficiency.Comply with current Quality Systems requirements.Support Lean Manufacturing procedures.Able to prioritize opportunities and drive root cause analysis.Drive Continuous Improvement projects.
Perform other work as assigned by the Production Manager or Plant Manager.
QualificationsEducation, Experience, Skills Required:
BS in Business, Engineering, or related area, or equivalent experience.Strong and demonstrated management skills. 5+ years of experience.Written and verbal communication skills.Strong Excel skills.Physical Requirements:
