As a member of our team, you are instrumental in fulfilling our mission: 'Enabling Engineering Breakthroughs that Lead to a Better Tomorrow.' 2nd shift:2:30 PM – 11:00 PM, M-F Role and Essential Functions The Assembly & Test Operator is responsible for performing a variety of simple to complex assembly and test functions with minimum supervision. This position operates the required testing equipment to ensure readings and recorded values are accurate and meet all specifications. An Assembly & Test Operator utilizes all necessary gages and other measuring equipment to ensure that final assemblies meet the customer specifications and other dimensional requirements. Responsibilities + Following established procedures, responsibilities may include some or all of the following: + Perform basic assembly and test functions utilizing mechanical skills, hand and power tools, mechanical/electronic tools, test equipment, assembly fixtures and inspection measurement equipment in a production environment. + Required to hand deburr. + Ensure all equipment is calibrated in accordance with calibration schedule. + Produce and inspect assemblies for complete conformance to specification. + Rework malfunctions disclosed by test data. + Record test results on data forms. + Interpret engineering orders, assembly routes, test specifications and quality directives. + Observe all safety rules and maintain a foreign object damage (FOD) free work area. + May be required to run automatic weld machine. + Perform other related responsibilities. Minimum Qualifications + High school diploma or GED + Must demonstrate manual dexterity. + Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations. + Must be able to read and understand blueprints. + Working knowledge of machine shop mathematics. + Must demonstrate effective English verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills. + Ability to work effectively with others and be a participative team player. Preferred Qualifications At least 1 year of relative manufacturing experience.
