Job Title: Assembly Technician
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Assembly Technician for the 2nd shift (2pm-12:30am, Monday through Thursday) with occasional overtime on Fridays and Saturdays. This role involves assembling, modifying, and installing aircraft components, sub-assemblies, and structural assemblies in accordance with customer specifications.
Responsibilities
Work with blueprints, specifications, and work orders to meet quality requirements.Complete data gathering to facilitate assembly progress.Set up and run shop equipment, such as squeezes and precision measuring tools, including drill motors and countersink cutters.Troubleshoot and look for process improvements.Perform required rework or changes during the assembly process.Assemble major components of sub-assemblies, major assemblies, and smaller bench work assemblies.Move and obtain correct parts, materials, tools, and assemblies.Essential Skills
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) or equivalent combination of education and experience.One to two years of related experience and/or training.Experience with basic sheet metal, riveting, assembly methods, and common shop practices.Ability to interpret blueprints.Ability to communicate verbally and write process information.Time management skills.Additional Skills & Qualifications
Six months of vocational training preferred.Experience with forklift, drill press, floor mounted rivet press, and overhead crane.Five years of complex assembly and structures experience.Previous experience with companies such as Spirit, Boeing, Textron, or Cessna is preferred.Why Work Here?

Work Environment
The work environment is climate-controlled, with exposure to vibration, moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, and loud noise levels. Employees must wear steel toe boots. This is a full-time position with expectations for physical activity, including standing, walking, reaching, and occasionally lifting up to 25 pounds.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $26.00/hr.
