Join our team as an Aircraft Assembly Technician, where you will be responsible for assembling, modifying, and installing aircraft components, sub-assemblies, and structural assemblies in accordance with customer requirements. You will play a crucial role in identifying nonconforming parts and manufacturing processes while working with basic sheet metal, riveting, assembly methods, and common shop practices.
ResponsibilitiesWork with blueprints, specs, and work orders to meet quality requirements.Complete required data gathering to facilitate assembly progress.Set up and operate various shop equipment including squeezes, drill motors, countersink cutters, and precision measuring tools.Troubleshoot any problems that occur and continually seek process improvements.Perform required rework or changes during the assembly process.Assemble major components of sub-assemblies, major assemblies, as well as smaller bench work assemblies.Move and obtain correct parts, materials, tools, and assemblies.
Essential SkillsHigh school diploma or GED; or one to two years of related experience and/or training.Six months vocational training.5 years of complex assembly experience.5 years of structures experience.Proficiency in interpreting blueprints.Time management skills.Ability to communicate verbally regarding work processes.Ability to write and record process information.
Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience with complex assembly, compound unique shimming, and structures mechanic.Sheet metal expertise.Experience in Spirit/Boeing/Textron/Cessna preferred.

Work Environment
This full-time position operates on the first shift from 6am to 2:30pm, Monday through Friday, with occasional overtime on Saturdays. The work environment is climate-controlled and requires wearing steel toe boots. Employees will frequently work near moving mechanical parts and may be exposed to vibration, fumes, airborne particles, and loud noise levels.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $28.00/hr.
