Responsibilities:
- Performs mostly seated, repetitive bench or line assembly operations to mass produce completed small fastener parts and components.
- Verifies all components are correctly pulled to assemble a part listed in the Assembly Book. (Lifts less than 10 pounds.)
- Works at different work stations as production needs require.
- Works on assembly line where tasks vary as different model of same article moves along line.
- Bolts, pins, clips, screws, or otherwise fastens small component parts together.
- Requires use of manually operated jigs and fixtures.
- Once assembled, parts are counted, tagged, and bagged for shelf inventory or pending order.
- Required to assemble 800-1,000 pieces daily.
Working hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Skills:
- Demonstrates attention to detail, ability to read and follow written and verbal instructions.
- Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness in assembly and record keeping.
- Observes Safety and Security procedures.
- Uses time efficiently and completes work in timely manner.
- Regularly required to sit, use hands, and reach with arms and hands. Some standing and walking required.
- Occasional (i.e. less than 20%) exposure to moving mechanical parts if required to use various drills and small mechanical or air crimping machines. Regularly uses screw drivers, pliers, and other small non-mechanical hand tools.
