Assembler II (Cable)

Cable/Harness Assembler responsible for building and inspecting cable and wire harness assemblies in a contract manufacturing environment.

Job Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.

Mechanical aptitude and ability to work with small components and hand tools.

J-STD-001 training (or ability to obtain).

IPC-620 training (or ability to obtain).

Willingness to be trained on cable/harness assembly processes.

Preferred Skills

Experience in cable and wire harness assembly.

Experience in contract manufacturing or electronics assembly environment.

Soldering experience (through-hole and/or surface mount).

Familiarity with crimping, stripping, and terminating wires to connectors.

Job Responsibilities

Assemble cable and wire harnesses according to work instructions, drawings, and industry standards (J-STD-001, IPC-620).

Use hand tools and semi-automatic equipment to strip, crimp, solder, and terminate wires and cables.

Inspect assemblies for workmanship, correct routing, labeling, and documentation compliance.

Perform basic rework and repairs on nonconforming assemblies as directed.

Maintain accurate build records, travelers, and production documentation.

Follow established procedures for ESD, safety, and quality throughout the assembly process.



Pay Details: $21.00 to $26.00 per hour
