Position Summary:
Under minimal supervision, is responsible for performing a wide variety of manufacturing duties as they relate product manufacturing, in particular assembling and brazing achieving at least a 50% of capabilities within work cell. In addition assist in data collection and integrity, transaction processing, and/or reporting, for the work being performed. The success of each area is highly dependent upon timely and accurate performance of each assigned task.
Essential Functions:
+ Performs material preparation activities in a safe, timely and accurate manner. This mainly will involve the preparation of parts and assemblies for the assembly process and cutting and grinding of material for use in the brazing process.
+ Meet Quality and Productivity targets for assigned department
+ Follow safety and 5S guidelines; maintain a clean and organized work area and used good safety judgment.
+ Uses tape measures, levels, squares, and hand/power tools to prep material for use. (i.e. grinders, band saws)
+ Uses various “material” handling equipment in a safe manner, as is necessary to accomplish duties.
+ Can interpret blueprints for production of equipment.
+ Can understand and follow applicable procedures used in the production of the product.
+ Can successfully complete a brazing test.
+ Participates with teams working on continuous improvement activities.
+ Share input in team improvement board and High-Performance Team meetings.
+ Performs other duties as required.
Qualifications:
+ High school diploma or equivalent required.
+ Demonstrated ability to accurately perform math problems required.
+ Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively in written and verbal exchanges required.
+ Demonstrated ability to work in fast paced environments required.
+ Ability to lift up to 25 pounds plus and to operate common material handling equipment required.
+ Exposure to, or knowledge of, “Lean” concepts is desirable.
Technical Depth and Breadth:
1. Basic computer skills.
2. Able to follow written/verbal instructions and directions.
3. Learns and maintains required skill and proficiency to successfully accomplish full job responsibilities; willingly takes on new assignments.
4. Able to work proficiently (at least 3/4 dot on Skills Matrix) in 75% of the cells in the value stream and perform the most complex processes.
5. May interface with Engineering on new product development.
6. Technical troubleshooting with a high sense of independence.
Teamwork and Interpersonal Skills:
1. Dependable, prompt and reliable with good overall attendance; present at workstation when required.
2. Demonstrate ability to get along with others; behave professionally; treat all coworkers with respect and dignity consistent with Parker Values and Code of Conduct.

4. Builds and leverages strong relationships beyond the Production area to accomplish team goals.

1. Able to read, understand and follow written & verbal instructions and directions in English.

3. Able to lead teams, facilitate meetings, and present team results.
Physical and Mental Demands:
1. Required to sit, stand, bend & reach.
2. May be required to stand, sit or alternate between sitting and standing for 8+ hours at a time, based on business needs.
3. Require near vision acuity, color vision, and visual accommodation to see and manipulate small parts at near point for extended periods of time.
4. Good hand/eye coordination and manual dexterity.
5. Rotate functions in cells as needed.
6. Frequent lifting or moving of lightweight (<20 lbs.) materials, occasional lifting up to 25 lbs.
7. Use of Personal Protective Equipment as required, may include safety glasses, safety shoes, hearing protection, and/or any other equipment deemed necessary.

+ The wage range for this role considers allowances for a number of factors, including but not limited to required experience, skill level, prior training, licensure/certifications, education, and other business needs.A reasonable estimate of the current range is $20 to $26 an hour.
