**Job Title: Assembler I, Assembly - Skilled** **Job Description** Join our team as an Assembler I where you will play a vital role in assembling mechanical units, fabricated parts, and electrical/electronic systems to create subassemblies, assemblies, or complete units. Utilize hand tools, power tools, jigs, fixtures, and miscellaneous equipment in your work. Your keen ability to fit, align, calibrate, and adjust parts and mechanisms will ensure that all products meet tolerances and operating requirements. This role involves repairing units or products that have not met the required standards. You will follow clearly defined procedures and guidelines, contributing to decision-making processes. This position requires basic technical knowledge specific to your area of expertise. **Responsibilities** + Assemble mechanical units, fabricated parts, and electrical/electronic systems. + Use hand tools, power tools, jigs, fixtures, and miscellaneous equipment for assembly tasks. + Fit, align, calibrate, and adjust parts and mechanisms to meet product operating requirements. + Repair units or products that fail to meet specified requirements. + Follow detailed and defined rules/instructions and make simple judgments in straightforward situations. **Essential Skills** + Basic assembly skills + Ability to use hand tools and power tools effectively + Technical knowledge specific to tasks performed in own discipline **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Experience in assembly for medical hospital beds + Preferably 6 months of experience in a related field **Why Work Here?** We offer a structured and supportive environment where you can develop your skills and advance your career. Pay is $16-18 an hour depending on shift **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Portage, MI. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $23.20 - $26.10/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
