Job Title: Assembly Technician

1st and 2nd shift (4x10 hour)

$19.00/hour to $20.00/hour

Job Description

As an Assembly Technician, you will engage in various assembly processes using different machines and hand tools to complete the assembly and sub-assembly of component parts. You will work on the first or second shift, Monday to Thursday, and will be responsible for ensuring the quality and efficiency of the assembly process.

Responsibilities

Assemble sub-assemblies and run them through the press machine.Perform quality checks and pack finished product into shipping containers.Test units using air pressure after pressing.Remove plates after assembly and ensure proper alignment.Set up baffles according to work orders and measure distances with calipers.Use glue guns as per work orders and prepare cores for pinning and pressing.Maintain records related to production, downtime, and quality.Ensure quality standards are met through visual inspection and measuring devices.Keep the work area and equipment clean and orderly.Perform necessary computer transactions using various software programs.Complete other job assignments and related functions as directed.

Essential Skills

Mechanically inclined with attention to detail.Proficient in using power tools and basic hand tools.2 years of hands-on experience in a similar role.High school diploma or GED required.Ability to perform basic arithmetic and read at an 8th-grade level.Hand dexterity and ability to work with both hands.Safety-conscious with a willingness to cross-train.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Experience in direct manufacturing assembly is a plus.Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00/hr.
