Job Description
The Assembly Technician is responsible for the mechanical assembly of natural gas fuel systems in various production areas. This role involves hands-on assembly using different materials, parts, and sub-assemblies, along with the necessary tooling and equipment.
Responsibilities
Apply in-depth understanding of material, part, and assembly flow through the manufacturing and assembly process.Read work orders, blueprints, production schedules, and operation sheets to determine the sequence of operations and materials needed.Assemble sub-assemblies, structural parts, and plumbing for fuel systems.Follow all required steps in the assembly standard work process.Inspect components for consistency and critical fits during the assembly process.Ensure a defect-free assembly prior to final quality control inspection.Operate, clean, and maintain various pieces of tooling and equipment.Complete handwritten and electronic documentation for records and data compliance with all internal, safety, and regulatory requirements.Support and execute Lean assembly activities.Essential Skills
Proficiency in mechanical assembly and use of hand and power tools.Ability to read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and production schedules.Strong mechanical aptitude.Personal computer skills and familiarity with ERP business systems software.Additional Skills & Qualifications
High school diploma or GED required.Manufacturing experience in a related industry preferred.Must obtain the Texas Railroad Commission certification for CNG service and installation within 45 days of hire.Must gain proficiency in assigned function on the assembly line.Valid driver's license required if driving for company purposes.Why Work Here?

Work Environment
Work takes place in a non-climate controlled facility. The schedule consists of 10-hour shifts from Monday to Thursday, with the possibility of working on Fridays. There is a half-hour lunch break and a mid-morning break.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $18.00 - $19.50/hr.
