Job Description
We are seeking an efficient and detail-oriented Assembler to join our team. This role will be responsible for assembling various components into finished products according to specifications, blueprints, or work orders.

Responsibilities
Follow safety protocols and procedures, including wearing safety shoes, glasses, and ear protection.Use all tools safely and maintain a clean and tidy work area.Read diagrams and schematics to ensure accurate assembly.Ensure the quality of the structure by checking that the product is level and square.Pay attention to detail, specifically when checking components for damages such as dents and scratches.Use torque wrenches to torque bolts to the required specification.Communicate effectively and work collaboratively with a team.Understand manufacturing information such as front views, bill of materials, drawings, blueprints, and order entry systems.Problem-solve using oral or written instructions to assemble switchboards and panelboards, and identify missing components.Utilize various hand tools to accurately install materials by following established procedures.Communicate job progress, identify problem areas, and report part shortages.Identify opportunities for process improvement and conduct root cause analysis for quality or production issues.Be responsible for quality, including visual inspections of materials, identifying nonconforming parts, and troubleshooting errors.Assemble copper bussing according to design, ensuring correct spacing.Perform other duties as assigned.Essential Skills
Assembly skills, including blueprint reading and hand tool usage.Proficiency in using power tools.Additional Skills & Qualifications
Strong ability to work with concentration, accuracy, and attention to detail.Ability to work independently and cooperatively with others.Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.Capability to multitask, establish work priorities, and manage time efficiently.Proficiency with computers and CAD software.High school diploma or equivalent.Previous experience as an Assembler in a manufacturing environment.Familiarity with assembly tools and techniques.Work Environment
Work in a brand-new facility with a projected headcount of 200-250 people. Safety gear such as steel-toed boots and safety glasses are required. Long pants made of thicker material are mandatory, while long sleeves or cut-resistant sleeves will be supplied. The environment includes exposure to noise, machinery, and varying temperatures on a manufacturing floor. The role requires standing or walking for long periods and occasionally lifting 25–50 lbs. Work on a rotating 2-2-3 schedule from 6 am to 6 pm, with a full week of training before joining a team.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Hanover, MD.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr.
