**Job Title: Medical Assembler** **Job Description** As a Medical Assembler, you will operate as a Pilot Operator at our R&D facility, engaging in prototype assemblies and contributing to the development of new product lines. You will collaborate closely with engineers and technicians to enhance and construct production lines. Your role will involve both cleanroom and non-cleanroom environments, requiring adaptability and versatility. **Responsibilities** + Start in the packaging and testing area to gain familiarity with various parts and processes. + Operate and train on a vertical reflow machine for testing purposes, which involves coating parts with plastic tubing. + Engage in assembly and operating tasks including prototyping, testing, and using hand tools such as tweezers, pliers, and soldering equipment. + Perform light welding of parts and operate flattener and semi-automated reflow machines. + Set up and operate a small injection mold press. + Collaborate with engineers and technicians to troubleshoot and improve processes. + Participate in grinding tasks using grinding machines and deburring tools. + Occasionally work in a lab performing welding, inspections, and utilizing vision systems. **Essential Skills** + 3+ years of microscope assembly experience. + Proficiency with measurement equipment such as rulers, laser micrometers, and multimeters. + Experience with small tools including tweezers, syringes, and razor blades. + Experience in building catheters, leads, and guidewires. + Experience with laser welding and working with R&D departments and engineers. + Ability to troubleshoot and multitask effectively. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Comfortable with cross-training and learning multiple processes. + Proactive and initiative-driven with minimal hands-on management. + Technically savvy with a comfort in using technology and computers. + Ability to generate new ideas for process improvements. **Why Work Here?** Our facility is new, well-lit, and temperature-controlled, offering a pleasant working environment. Located across from a local brewery, our company boasts a rich history of over 400 years. **Work Environment** You will work in a new facility built within the last five years, engaging in both cleanroom and non-cleanroom tasks. The environment includes a lab area and involves working with around 10-15 colleagues, including management, leads, assemblers, engineers, and technicians. While working with and around machines, the area is not overly loud, and no hearing protection is required. The R&D site focuses on developing efficient processes for manufacturing, and the space is well-organized, well-lit, and open. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract position based out of Fridley, MN. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $22.25 - $22.25/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
