**Job Description**
Assembler: Performs a wide variety of electronic, electro-mechanical, mechanical or measurement product assembly operations on product components, assemblies or sub-assemblies. Determines and/or follows methods and sequence of operations in performing wiring, component installation, hand soldering, cable harnessing, welding and fitting on assembly units. Makes setups and adjustments holding tolerances to blueprint specifications.
**Job Responsibilities**
Under general supervision, perform a wide variety of electronic, electro-mechanical assembly operations on product components assemblies and sub-assemblies. Strong mechanical aptitude and manual dexterity and familiarity with industrial tools, equipment, small hand tools, and microscopes.
The essential functions and key responsibilities for the position include, but are not limited to:
· Follow production drawings and understands and applies established workmanship practices for all facets of satellites, medical, defense/aerospace and high reliability industrial applications.
· Ensure that quality checks are completed throughout the manufacturing process.
· Must be able to follow specific procedures and detailed instructions completely.
· Self-starter with the ability to work in a team environment.
· Attentiveness to details with a strong desire for precision and accuracy when executing job duties.
· Assist with training as required.
**Job Requirements**
· Interpret and work from engineer drawings, work instructions and bills of material to understand the required parts and steps needed to complete the assigned assembly.
· Experience with small parts, small hand tools and microscope.
· Delicate hand assembly of electronics devices using solder, epoxy, and wire bonding techniques specifically under the microscope.
· May perform hand solder using a solder iron.
· High level of manual dexterity.
· Possess a solid, quality minded work ethic and a strong attention to detail with a strong desire for precision and accuracy when executing job duties.
· Ability to read complex assembly drawings and process instructions.
· Clean Room experience and knowledge of Foreign Object Debris (FOD control.)
· Must be able to work overtime if required, on short notice.
· Prior experience in electronics is essential.
· High School Diploma and basic computer skills are a necessity.
· A minimum of 3 years of experience in a manufacturing assembly or production environment is essential.
