Position Summary

As an Assembler, you will assemble, test, and repair electronic components in a fast-paced production environment while maintaining quality and safety standards.

What You'll do as a Assembler Learn and carry out detailed work instructions for major component parts and sub-assemblies for assigned product lines. Assemble components using various hand tools and testing equipment in an ESD-protected environment. Handle and evaluate quality of small parts during manufacturing processes. Troubleshoot simple equipment malfunctions. Final test product and package into final configuration. Promote and support a safe working environment. Inform the team lead/supervisor of any problems pertaining to production, parts, equipment or processes. Ability to work effectively with others in a team environment. Adhere to safety practices, including proper gowning and use of personal protective equipment. Supports and promotes LEAN operations by following standard work to include Safety Observations, Idea Generation, and Hour by Hour Board updates. Meet quality assurance requirements and complete documentation associated with same. The Experience, Skills and Abilities Needed

Required: 

High School Diploma or GED. 1 year of assembly experience.   Previous experience with reading drawings and schematics in order to assemble products.

 

Preferred: 

Previous experience in an environment using Lean Manufacturing tools preferred.

 

Other: 

Ability to read, understand, and communicate oral and written instructions in English.   Ability to carry out detailed written or oral instructions.   Ability to deal with problems involving parts and equipment variation while maintaining quality expectations.   Ability to identify, communicate, and troubleshoot problems. Ability to work effectively and collaboratively with other employees. Ability to enter data at a computer terminal. Ability to rotate between work stations throughout the work day.
