Job Description

Join a large manufacturer and distributor of solar trackers and structures for solar panels as an Assembler. You will play a crucial role in bolting up and fastening nuts/screws on structural steel to build the structures for solar panels. This position involves repetitive processes, such as putting pieces on tables, installing rivets in steel, and constantly moving parts to advance the product down the line.

Work Environment

Work in a large, new facility with assembly areas that are under covering but open air, which can be very hot. You will collaborate with assemblers, plasma cutters, press brake operators, forklift operators, and general fabricators. The workweek consists of Monday through Friday with 8-hour shifts, and most Saturdays and alternating Sundays with 6-hour shifts, averaging 45 to 52 hours weekly. Shift schedules include: 1st Shift from 6:00am to 2:00pm, 2nd Shift from 2:00pm to 10:00pm, and 3rd Shift from 10:00pm to 6:00am, with designated 30-minute breaks.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Houston, Texas.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $19.00/hr.
