**Job Title: Medical Device Assembly Technician**
**Job Description**
Engage in the manufacturing and assembly of medical devices by following specific procedures and detailed manufacturing instructions. This role requires adherence to all production and safety protocols to ensure the highest quality of medical devices.
**Responsibilities**
+ Follow and adhere to Standard Operating Procedures, Line Clearance, Work Instructions, assembly methods, product handling methods, production drawings, Good Documentation Practices, current Good Manufacturing Practices, and Safety requirements.
+ Successfully complete training on production tasks, understand travelers/routers, identify materials, and use a microscope and production/inspection tools and equipment needed for product builds.
+ Operate tools and equipment and complete documentation as required.
+ Perform equipment set-up, operation, and in-process inspection to accomplish assigned tasks.
+ Work directly with Engineers and Supervisors to ensure product integrity and quality are met at all times.
+ Collaborate with Engineers to develop process documentation.
+ Perform inventory counts.
+ Undertake other duties as assigned and receive verbal instructions regarding duties to be performed.
**Essential Skills**
+ Minimum of 3-5 years of medical device assembly and production or small electronics experience.
+ Hands-on experience in a manufacturing/production environment or prototyping experience.
+ Prior experience in microscope and medical assembly.
+ Cleanroom experience.
+ Ability to understand and perform in-process inspection to ensure workmanship and quality of in-process medical devices.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Experience in the manufacturing of catheter products is a plus.
+ Proficiency in working with adhesives, EFD dispensers, and UV curing systems.
+ Strong communication skills.
+ Experience with SMT machines and rework.
+ Familiarity with SOP and Line Clearance procedures.

**Work Environment**
The work environment includes a cleanroom setting and requires the use of safety equipment during lab work. Shifts include 5 on 1st (6am-2:30pm) with overtime before the shift and 8 on 2nd shift (2:40pm-11:10pm) with overtime after the shift.
**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Carlsbad, California.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $23.00/hr.
