Responsibilities

Ensure prompt, courteous, and accurate service to all guests to maximize customer satisfaction. Organize work within the department including assignments, time schedules, and vacations to ensure optimum utilization of manpower. Participate in the development, implementation, and review of policies, procedures, practices, and standards. Optimize the efficient usage of room inventory by monitoring, controlling, and providing feedback to support the departments. Recommend changes in methods, equipment, or employees to improve departmental standards and productivity. Assist the Front Office Manager in monitoring key performance indicators for the department and take corrective action as needed. Ensure adherence to company and hotel policies by all departmental employees. Ensure norms, procedures, and systems for safety and security of guest belongings (e.g., lockers, left luggage) are efficiently followed and monitored to ensure maximum comfort levels. Monitor billing procedures to ensure accurate payment, thereby maximizing organizational profitability. Ensure adherence to all statutory requirements by the Front Office. Maintain all Front Office documents and records as per operational and organizational requirements. Ensure all Front Office areas are neatly maintained at all times according to norms, hygiene, efficiency, cleanliness, and safety standards. Responsible for the efficient handling of all room reservations and their processing thereafter. Conduct briefing sessions regularly. Be familiar with all Front Desk and Cashiering functions. Manage guest ledger, long-stay guests, and paymasters. Greet and welcome VIP guests upon their arrival and escort them to their rooms. Identify training needs, plan activities, and oversee their implementation for all Front Office sections. Assist in the preparation of the annual budget and manning guide and manage within budgetary guidelines.

Ideal Candidate Profile

University degree in Hotel Management with a minimum of 3 years in a similar role within a five-star hotel.
