A Southland Holdings company, Johnson Bros., is currently accepting resumes for an experienced Asphalt/Roadway Foreman for our large heavy civil projects. Must have experience with operating skid steers /rollers / paving machines/broom sweeper and loaders! Responsibilities- + Provide overall leadership and direct the activities of field crew employees. Work with field employees to increase productivity + Review projects to focus on equipment and manpower; review job costs and equipment utilization reports. Plan and review projects with Project Managers, Estimators and Superintendents. + Check equipment to monitor for repairs, utilization, abuse or neglect. + Participate in safety-related training programs to increase skill set and knowledge base. + Perform jobsite quality control checks. + Ensure quality assurance on all phases of work relating to spreading, rolling, compacting and patching asphalt to form surfaces of highways, streets, parking lots, driveways, etc. + Monitor all job site operations for compliance with contract requirements for noise and dust control, non-interruption of Government activities, and utility shutdown procedures. + Actively promote a safety conscious culture. Follow all safety regulations. Mentor all new hires on crew. Education/Experience: + High School education required. + 2 + years’ experience as a Foreman. + Prior roadway, civil, paving construction experience. + Prior heavy equipment operator experience Certifications: + OSHA Safety Course Certification (30 hour) + CPR Certification Full-Time Employee Benefits: *Competitive pay, Health/Dental/Vision/Life & 401K company match.
