**Job Title: ASL Interpreter** **Job Description** We are seeking a skilled and experienced American Sign Language (ASL) Interpreter to support our needs in a machine shop environment. As an ASL Interpreter, you will provide interpretation services for our deaf and hard of hearing employees. The ideal candidate will be fluent in ASL and have experience working in a fast-paced industrial setting. **Responsibilities** + Provide accurate and timely ASL interpretation for deaf and hard of hearing employees in the machine shop. + Facilitate communication between employees, supervisors, and other stakeholders. + Interpret meetings, training sessions, and other work-related activities. + Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of the company's policies, procedures, and safety protocols. + Collaborate with others to ensure seamless communication. + Maintain confidentiality and adhere to professional ethics and standards. **Essential Skills** + National certification as an ASL Interpreter (e.g., NIC, CI, or CT). + 2+ years of experience as an ASL Interpreter in an industrial or manufacturing setting. + Fluency in ASL and English. + Ability to work in a fast-paced, noisy environment with exposure to machinery and equipment. + Strong attention to detail and ability to concentrate for extended periods. + Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Sign language proficiency. + Bilingual abilities. + Data entry skills. + Customer service experience. + Administrative support skills. + Proficiency in Microsoft Office. + Clerical skills. **Why Work Here?** Join a dynamic team where your skills in ASL interpretation make a significant impact on communication and collaboration. You will work a 1st shift schedule of 10 hours per day, 4 days a week, starting at 6:00 AM. Occasional overtime may be required. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Orlando, Florida. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $45.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
