Still University's Arizona School of Health Sciences is seeking part-time, non-exempt, adjunct faculty for biostatistics with the Department of Interdisciplinary Health Sciences on the Mesa, Arizona campus. The Department of Interdisciplinary Health Sciences is known for exceptional teaching and research productivity across the health sciences. We foster an interdisciplinary collaborative culture by offering various learning and scholarly activities and resources to our students, faculty, and community partners. **Position Summary:** The Department invites applications for an adjunct faculty in biostatistics during the 2026 calendar year for hourly/contract work. Depending on department needs and assignment, the candidate may be asked to do any of the following: (1) co-instruct residential graduate-level research methods/biostatistics/data analysis courses designed for professional health sciences students in-person on the Mesa, AZ campus, (2) provide statistical consultation and collaboration for faculty and faculty-directed student research on study design, analysis, and interpretation; and (3) defined service activities aligned with departmental and school needs. **Essential Duties & Responsibilities** If assigned, teaching responsibilities include: + Co-teach a designated graduate-level course or section in biostatistics, research methods, or data analysis for entry-level professional, master’s, or doctoral health sciences students. + Prepare learning materials and assessments; deliver in-person instruction; and evaluate student performance (eg, grades) by established deadlines. + Hold scheduled on-campus office hours and provide timely, constructive feedback to students. + Use the university’s learning management system (Canvas) and adhere to departmental course standards and academic policies. + Coordinate with course directors and program leadership to ensure alignment with program competencies and accreditation expectations. + If assigned, provide scoped statistical consultation (e.g., study design, analysis planning, interpretation, dissemination) for faculty or faculty-directed student projects. + If assigned: participate in defined service activities (e.g., a specific committee task, assessment activity, or curriculum review). + Model ethical conduct, data integrity, and responsible scholarship; comply with FERPA and institutional policies. Requirements **Minimum Qualifications:** + PhD in Biostatistics or a closely related field. + Demonstrated ability to teach biostatistics/research methods in ways that are clear, practical, and accessible to non-research-focused professional students. + Strong communication skills with the ability to translate complex research methods and statistical concepts into clear, practical terms for individuals without technical training. + Demonstrated experience providing statistical consultation within health sciences. + Proficiency with one or more statistical packages (e.g., SPSS, SAS, R, STATA). **Preferred Qualifications** + Experience providing statistical consultation in academic health environments. + Demonstrated success working on interdisciplinary teams and in diverse academic settings. **Knowledge, Skills & Abilities** + Strong instructional design, assessment, and communication skills for non-research-focused graduate learners. + Statistical expertise in study design, analysis, and interpretation relevant to health sciences research. + Proficiency with statistical software and ability to support diverse analytic approaches. + Consultation and mentoring skills; professionalism, organization, and time management. + Collegiality and commitment to inclusive excellence and student success. **Application Instructions** Please submit: + Cover letter addressing the available duties and responsibilities, focusing on strengths and duties most interested in being considered to be assigned; availability during 2026 + Curriculum vitae; names and contact information for two–three references **Please note that adjunct positions are filled on an as-needed basis.** A.T.
