ASC 606 Senior Accountant / Consultant
Job Description
Join a leading defense contractor as an ASC 606 Consultant, assisting with the manual review of contracts. This is a remote consulting opportunity lasting 3 to 6 months, with a focus on revenue recognition for approximately 40 contracts per month.
Responsibilities
Conduct thorough reviews of government and commercial ASC 606 contracts.Prepare and review journal entries.Manage accruals for direct program work.Reconcile balance sheets.Troubleshoot and resolve issues in Deltek, providing recommendations to improve project reports.Essential Skills
Proven experience in revenue recognition and technical accounting, with a strong background in ASC 606.Hands-on experience in reading and reviewing government contracts and applying the disclosure model for revenue recognition.Bachelor’s degree in accounting.Expertise in Deltek Costpoint with the ability to troubleshoot and propose solutions for project report issues.Experience in balance sheet reconciliations, financial statements, and journal entries.Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience with Blackline.Experience in a large government contractor service-based business managing subcontractors with milestones, cost-plus, and fixed-price contracts.Work Environment
This position offers a flexible, fully remote work environment from Monday to Friday. Ideal candidates will be based in Northern Virginia.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $50.00 - $60.00/hr.
