Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Asbestos Project Monitor to join our environmental team. In this role, you will manage a range of responsibilities including environmental investigations, regulatory compliance, asbestos and lead-based paint inspections, and remediation oversight. The position requires fieldwork across active abatement projects, performing XRF testing, collecting and recording data, and contributing to technical reporting and analysis.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct environmental site investigations and assessments.Ensure full compliance with federal, state, and local environmental regulations.Perform asbestos and lead-based paint inspections; oversee remediation and abatement projects.Monitor abatement activities in the field in accordance with all regulatory standards.Conduct XRF testing and accurately record data.Provide technical support and produce detailed, high-quality reports.Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science or a related field.5+ years of experience in environmental consulting or project monitoring.NYSDOL Asbestos Inspector Certification.Asbestos Project Monitor Certification.Air Monitoring experience.Air Sampling Technician Certification.OSHA 40-Hour Certification (Hazwoper).Preferred Qualifications:
OSHA 40-Hour Certification.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Proven experience in environmental remediation and technical report writing.Ability to work independently and as part of a small, collaborative team.Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $52000.00 - $80000.00/yr.
