The JP-XCM team is seeking an exceptionally gifted conceptual designer with extensive digital and social media experience to join our in-house creative team in Japan. This is an amazing opportunity to work on mass advertising campaigns that will be seen by millions of consumers across Japan.
As the Art Director, you will be a key member of our creative team, responsible for defining the visual identity of our advertising across a range of mass media channels, including digital banners, print, out-of-home (OOH), and social media platforms tailored for the Japanese consumer.
Key job responsibilities
- Define and develop the visual identity for mass advertising campaigns across all media touchpoints in Japan
- Ensure consistency and quality of design across all mass media touchpoints
- Collaborate with the XCM team to develop creative strategies that align with campaign objectives and resonate with Japanese consumers
- Think beyond the immediate brief, identifying long-term brand-building opportunities through mass media advertising
- Maintain a sharp eye for detail and a dedication to craft, ensuring consistently high-quality output
- Lead the creative execution of campaigns from concept to final delivery across various mass media channels
- Work closely with internal stakeholders, including the creative team, marketing managers and media planners to align on campaign objectives and execute flawlessly
- Communicate design concepts and rationales effectively to both creative teams and non-creative stakeholders
- Stay informed about emerging design trends, technologies, and cultural shifts in Japan to bring fresh perspectives to mass media campaigns
- Adapt global design trends to suit the Japanese market and consumer preferences
- Collaborate with marketing manager and insights teams to understand campaign performance and use these insights to refine and improve future designs
- Continuously seek ways to enhance the impact and effectiveness of mass media advertising through innovative design approaches.
