Art Director, Delivery Training & Programs: Content Design
Content Lab is the creative and content engine within Amazon's Delivery Training and Programs team. We meld UX and Adult Learning principles to strategize, develop, and maintain the Integrated Delivery Training Curriculum — preparing hundreds of thousands of Delivery Associates (DAs) each year across AMZL, AMXL, MMRO, and RSR operations. Through data-driven experimentation, we continuously push boundaries to elevate the training experience for our customer: the DA Trainee.
Our Design team owns brand and visual design across the Delivery Training Organization, producing consistent, high-quality experiences that show up for DAs every day across North America. We value craft, accuracy, and the ability to execute at scale without sacrificing standards.
We're looking for an Art Director who thrives in a hands-on production environment and brings both creative skill and operational discipline to their work. You'll partner closely with the Design Manager and Design team to produce branded large-format graphics for Delivery Training classrooms and environmental graphics for stations across the NA market. This role is equal parts creative thinker and reliable executor — someone who can concept with confidence and build with precision.

Key job responsibilities
• Partner with the Design Manager, operations teams, and agency partners to develop and produce branded large-format graphics for training classrooms and environmental installations across NA stations
• Concept and execute creative for specialty placements, maintaining brand consistency and accuracy across all outputs
• Art direct photo and video shoots, ensuring deliverables meet brand standards and project requirements
• Art direct motion graphics and animation projects in collaboration with internal teams and external partners
• Mentor designers and provide clear, constructive creative feedback that raises the quality of team output

A day in the life
No two days look exactly the same for the Content Lab Art Director — and that's by design. This role sits at the intersection of brand, production, and creative leadership, moving fluidly between strategic thinking and hands-on execution depending on what the team and the business need most.

A typical day might start with a morning standup with the Design Manager and Design team, reviewing active projects across the NA network rollout — checking status on large-format classroom graphics for an iLMDA site launch, or aligning on timelines for an upcoming graphic installations with operations teams. Midday could bring a creative review with an agency partner, providing clear direction on a round of revisions. You may get into the files and building mechanicals or creating illustrations. You may upload new assets to our Digital Asset Management tool and execute admin functions.

Woven throughout the day are moments of mentorship — a quick feedback session with a junior designer on a layout, a conversation about brand application, or a review of a designer's work-in-progress with constructive, specific direction. When content design needs surge, the Art Director steps in to support production directly, keeping the team's output moving without missing a beat.

At the end of the day, this role is about showing up as both a creative leader and a reliable executor — someone who can hold the brand standard, support the team, and deliver at the scale Amazon requires.

About the team
The Content Lab is the in-house creative team within Amazon's Delivery Training and Programs (DT&P) organization, responsible for designing and producing the branded learning environments, visual communications, and training materials that support DSP Delivery Associates across the North American network.

Our team operates at the intersection of brand, design, and operations — translating complex training programs into clear, engaging, and on-brand physical and digital experiences. From large-format classroom graphics and environmental installations to station signage, photo and video productions, and VR training content, we build the visual infrastructure that helps hundreds of thousands of Delivery Associates learn, grow, and succeed in their roles.

We are a small, high-output team that values craft, collaboration, and creative problem-solving. We work closely with operations partners, program managers, and agency collaborators to deliver work that is both strategically sound and visually excellent. We take pride in the quality of what we make and the impact it has on the people who experience it every day.

If you're someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, cares deeply about brand and design quality, and wants your work to reach people at scale — this is the team for you.
