**Armed Security Officer – Full Time** _Former military / law enforcement encouraged to apply!!_ **Location:** Denver, CO **Rate:** $23.53/HR **Available Schedules:** + Mon - Thurs: 7AM - 5PM + Tues - Fri: 7AM - 5PM Securitas plays an essential role for our clients and in society. The **Armed Security Officer** position helps maintain a safe and secure environment for our clients by actively monitoring the premises, including patrolling a variety of locations. They preserve order while enforcing regulations and directives for a client site pertaining to personnel, visitors, and the area. Frequently our Armed Security Officers will provide customer service and information to a client’s employees and customers and serve as a physical deterrent. If you have experience in security, law enforcement or military you are a great fit for this role. **What Your Day May Look Like:** + Patrols assigned site on foot or in vehicle; checks for unsafe conditions, hazards, unlocked doors, security violations, blocked entrances and exits, mechanical problems, and unauthorized persons. + Responding to emergency situations where rapid and effective judgment, appropriate escalation and use of force is required. + Working directly with law enforcement, government staffing and the community. + Writing detailed incident reports on unauthorized entries, suspicious activity, emergency situations, and any other observed issues. + Security screening all persons coming through the public entrance to ensure prohibited items are not entering facilities. + Monitors surveillance cameras. **What We Offer:** + Medical, Dental, Vision + 401k (Kaiser CO HMO). + Weekly Pay & Paid Vacation. + Employee Perks (Discounts @ Apple, Verizon, Ford & more). + Employee Assistance Program (Includes free counseling). + Educational Opportunities with DeVry University. + Financial & Wellness Program. + Free Uniforms/Armed equipment provided. + Referral program. + Free Eco Pass. + Career growth opportunities. **Position Requirements:** + 21 years of age or older. + High School Diploma or GED Required. + Standard computer / technology skills needed - the ability to utilize a tablet, computer, or smartphone. + Must be able to interact with a wide range of individuals in a professional manner. + Must be able to conduct patrols throughout shift. + Must have great attention to detail and have the ability to remain vigilant throughout shift. + Must have Armed Security experience. + Must pass pre-hire testing assignment and shooting qualification. + Must have a reliable personal vehicle. + Must have the legal right to work in the United States. + Must have the ability to speak, read, and write English. + Must be able to provide the office with a reliable phone number where the officer can be reached at all times (i.e. cellular). + Must be reliable, accountable, punctual, and have a strong work ethic. + Must have a strong grasp of appropriate and professional verbal/written communication. + Conflict resolution and de-escalation skills a plus. + Must be comfortable conducting access control duties. + Must be able to meet and continue to meet any applicable state, county and municipal licensing and permit requirements for Security Officers. **_All candidates must be willing to participate in our background check process._** See a different world.
