Allied Universal® is seeking elite, highly disciplined security professionals to serve as Armed Custom Protection Officers at a premier corporate headquarters in Downtown Chicago.

This is a high-profile, mission-critical assignment where professionalism, presence, and judgment matter as much as tactical skill.

Officers in this role represent the highest standard of armed security—calm, confident, and polished in a fast-moving, customer-facing environment. This position is ideal for professionals who take pride in their appearance, communication, and decision-making, and who thrive in roles that demand discretion, accountability, and excellence every day.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Provide armed security and emergency response across a large corporate campusOperate a vehicle as part of a mobile patrol and area surveillance teamSupport local executive protection and event security operationsProvide local secure transportation for executivesServe as a first responder for security incidents and medical emergenciesInteract with local law enforcement officersDeliver high-level customer service to employees, executives, and visitorsIdentify and report safety or security concernsPerform patrols, respond to incidents, and manage access controlMonitor safety and security equipment/systems (CCTV, Access Control, etc.)Work within a coordinated, well-structured protection program

QUALIFICATIONS (MUST HAVE):

Must be 21+Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employmentCredible military, police, corrections, public safety, or private security experience of three or more yearsExceptional decision-making skills: ability to effectively operate under pressure.Discretion and integrity; trusted to handle sensitive information.Must pass a background check and drug screening (as permitted by law)Must be willing and able to obtain a valid Michigan Concealed Carry Permit (CCW) upon hire or currently possess oneMust possess one or more of the following:Service in Military Occupational Specialty related to law enforcement, security (such as Military Police, Elite Military Forces, combat arms) or any support role in a Combat ZoneGraduate of a Certified Public Safety Academy (military or civilian) or verified work experience in the law enforcement, adult corrections, or firefighter fieldBachelor’s degree in law enforcement or criminal justice related studiesA minimum of 8 or more years of service in any military branchAssociate’s degree (or 60 credits) or higher in law enforcement or criminal justice with current or prior active military serviceProfessional appearance and demeanor; physically fit

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (NICE TO HAVE):

Degree in an area of study relevant to this positionU.S. military service in a combat arms or military police/security forces capacityCertification or training in security management, firearms, executive protection, etc.
