4910 Tiedeman Road - Brooklyn, Ohio 44144The Lead Developer is responsible for the development, implementation, assessment, and support of one or more environments, applications, or platforms, with a primary focus on the Argo Teller platform. This role combines hands-on development with leadership responsibilities, including mentoring junior engineers, managing production support, and influencing technology strategy. The ideal candidate brings deep technical expertise and a proactive approach to problem-solving and innovation.
Essential FunctionsOwn and lead all production support activities and serve as liaison to support personnelIndependently develop clean, maintainable, and testable code; perform code reviews for engineers at all levelsDesign solutions to ensure health, performance, and availability of assigned platformsResolve system and client experience impacts across environmentsAssign work, mentor, and train junior engineersAdvocate for new technologies and continuous improvementApply proper security standards during code developmentAssist in strategy development for the full software development life cycle of new and emerging technologiesCreate technical documentation, specifications, and project artifactsIdentify and develop potential standards and best practicesPropose high-level architectural guidelines for application platformsFormulate and design technical solutions to meet business needsEducationBachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field (required)Work Experience5+ years of experience in software development5+ years of experience with Argo platform (preferred), ideally in Teller systems1+ years of experience with Argo/Bankpro in traditional client/server architecture1+ years of experience with Argo web/API development (preferred)1+ years of experience developing interfaces for Argo Teller with CAD devices, check imaging software, and electronic cash recycler machines1+ years of experience with Alogent Front Counter (preferred)1+ years of experience working with mainframe technology1+ years of experience with Microsoft SQL Server and other relational databases1+ years of experience with SOAP and RESTful web services1+ years of experience with Web Methods, JavaScript, CSS, HTML, Azure DevOps, XML, and .NET (preferred)1+ years of experience applying SDLC methodologies (Waterfall, Agile)1+ years of experience in the banking or financial industry (preferred)Certifications & LicensesRelevant software development or platform certifications (preferred)SkillsStrong troubleshooting and problem-solving skillsExcellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilitiesAbility to mentor and lead technical teamsSelf-starter with a drive for resultsStrong documentation and technical writing skillsAbility to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environmentPhysical DemandsTypical office environment; may require extended periods working at a computerTravel/Driving RequirementsOccasional travel may be required for team collaboration, vendor meetings, or onsite supportCOMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
This position is eligible to earn a base salary in the range of $90,000 to $125,000 annually depending on location and job-related factors such as level of experience. Compensation for this role also includes eligibility for short-term incentive compensation and deferred incentive compensation subject to individual and company performance.
