Area Supervisor - Distribution Center
**Supervisor – Distribution Center** The Supervisor leads a team of associates in a fast-paced distribution environment. This role ensures merchandise is processed and shipped accurately and on time, while promoting safety, productivity, and a positive team culture. The supervisor provides coaching, training, and performance management, and drives continuous improvement to meet production goals and service expectations. **Salary:** $65,000 +(based on skills, experience, education, certifications, and location). **Benefits:** Medical / Dental / Vision / Life Insurance / 401k with match **Essential Functions** + Lead, train, and motivate an hourly workforce to achieve operational and productivity goals. + Monitor the flow of merchandise to ensure timely and accurate processing and distribution using established standards. + Assign and prioritize daily work orders and staffing to meet production targets. + Foster a strong team culture, recognizing individual and group performance while maintaining a fair and issue-free workplace. + Partner with peers, managers, and HR to support collaboration, consistency, and effective communication. + Conduct daily team meetings to share priorities, updates, and performance goals. + Facilitate training sessions on safety, policies, and process improvements as needed. + Ensure compliance with company policies and safety regulations, reinforcing accountability through coaching and corrective actions. + Handle performance management, including evaluations, coaching, and disciplinary processes when required. + Support administrative responsibilities, including timekeeping, production records, and paperwork accuracy. + Participate in interviewing and hiring decisions for hourly associates. + Provide regular updates to management regarding performance, staffing, and operational needs. + Contribute to special projects and team events as assigned. **Qualifications & Skills** + Bachelor’s degree **or** at least 2 years of supervisory experience in a distribution, production, or merchandising setting (preferred). + Strong written, verbal, and organizational skills. + Ability to work collaboratively across multiple shifts and departments. + Proven ability to lead, coach, and motivate a team in a fast-paced environment.
