Overseeing 17 audiology clinics situated within the Brisbane metro region and surrounds, including some regional locations, the Area Sales Manager plays a vital leadership role in the mission of improving lives by helping people rediscover all the emotion of sound. With purposeful leadership and a strong commitment to fostering a people-driven culture, you will recognise that your team is the key to consistently deliver high performance and hearing solutions. By leveraging your experience in balancing team support with business goals, you will work to achieve team engagement, sales revenue, KPI, and staffing goals – all whilst changing one life at a time.
As the Area Sales Manager, you will leverage your experience in implementing and executing sales and cultural initiatives to drive sales & growth in your team. You will develop and execute effective sales strategies and plans, identify new business opportunities, and foster a high-performing, customer-focused culture to ensure exceptional productivity and outstanding customer experiences. The Area Sales Manager leads their team in collaboration with the region's Associate Sales Director, HR Business Partner, and Retail Excellence Training team.
Key Responsibilities
You will lead and support numerous initiatives that underpin our business strategy including, but not limited to:
Revenue generations and sales management
Set area budget and clinic sales targets with the Associate Sales Director and Sales Director. Drive sales growth and KPI performance through routine store visits, team meetings, goal setting, and KPI monitoring. Recognise, understand, and implement any necessary recovery actions and strategies using store visit tools with the Retail Excellence team. Support customer acquisition through local marketing initiatives and in-store CRM processes in collaboration with the Marketing team. Collaborate with our HR team to create, develop and support talent growth within the area.People management and organisation effectiveness
Lead and coach store teams on performance development, talent development pipelines, and performance management in collaboration with the Associate Sales Director, HR Business Partner, and the Retail Excellence training team. Coordinate and schedule monthly team meetings to align on clinic performance, targets, company priorities, and new initiatives. Utilise store visits to drive performance and foster a culture of development. Foster a positive team culture by engaging, coaching, and motivating staff. Work in collaboration with the Associate Sales Director and HR Business Partner for recruitment of Audiologists and Client Advisors.Operational excellence & network development
Workforce planning to ensure optimal audiology diary time and ideal front-of-store staffing. Manage diaries to maximise audiology productivity across stores. Address staff and HR concerns in alignment with the HR Business Partner and Associate Sales Director. Analyse the local market for business expansion opportunities with the Retail Excellence team to recommend new store openings and relocations in the area. Implement key group sales initiatives and projects at the area level. Ensure alignment with clinical protocols, uniform policies, and store presentation for exceptional client experiences. Promote compliance with company policies and legal obligations, collaborating with the Regulatory team.About you
Experience in multi-site territory and field operations management. Sectors such as audiology, retail, optometry, or pharmacy is valued but not essential. Committed to building high-performing teams and fostering growth and development through effective coaching and purposeful leadership. Proven ability to foster an inclusive, dynamic, and positive culture. You are commercially focused and possess a commercial mindset with a proven track record of launching and supporting initiatives that drive business results. Proven track record of meeting and exceeding key performance indicators, business targets, and providing effective sales coaching. Deep enthusiasm for exceptional customer service. Demonstrate the ability to interpret, analyse, and understand KPI data at an intermediate level, and effectively translate insights into actionable strategies. You are a skilled communicator who is proficient in both verbal and written communication, with a strong ability to present confidently and persuasively. You exhibit a high level of adaptability and successfully navigate high-change environments and new business applications. Experience in leading and managing health professional’s desirable, but not essential. Proficient in Office 365 tools.What's in it for you?
