Position Overview: The Area Sales Manager will be responsible for managing and developing customer and channel partner relationships to increase sales within the assigned area. This role involves driving business growth, developing strategies, collaborating with various teams, and achieving sales targets.
Key Responsibilities:Customer and Channel Partner Relationships:
Manage and develop customer and channel partner relationships to increase sales.Coordinate regular reviews with customers, channel partners, and the respective team.Business Growth:Grow and drive business in the assigned area.Lead business development initiatives in the region to improve market share.Planning and Putting Plans into Action:Develop strategies and implement plans to achieve profitable sales growth.Function as a segment expert; understand market issues and trends to provide strategic direction.Collaboration:Collaborate with customer service, product team, and supply chain team to ensure customer happiness and resolve issues.Work closely with the marketing team to raise awareness of lab equipment in the assigned market.Sales and Performance:Prepare sales forecasts, perform trend analysis, and diligently follow up on leads.Meet AOP numbers and achieve annual sales and gross margin targets within budget guidelines.Forecast the sales funnel for the assigned area/customer.Customer Engagement:Identify new key customers and participate in scientific events to build relationships with key opinion leaders.Increase brand awareness and improve customer dedication scores.Keep account receivables under control.Leverage Resources:Leverage Thermo Fisher connections, including support, service, and management resources, to meet account performance objectives and customer expectations.Qualifications:Proven experience in sales and business development, preferably in the lab equipment or related industry.Strong understanding of market issues and trends.Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.Strong analytical skills and ability to plan effectively.Accomplished in consistently meeting sales targets.
