About the department

The Cardiometabolic Sales department at Novo Nordisk is dedicated to promoting and selling our innovative products to healthcare professionals, pharmacies, hospitals, and public institutions. Based in the Philippines, the team is dynamic, collaborative, and committed to making a difference in the lives of patients. As a people manager with 6 direct reports, you will be responsible for leading your team while reporting to the Cardiometabolic Sales Director. You will be part of a fast-paced and supportive environment where your contributions will directly impact the success of our obesity business unit.

 

The position

As an Area Sales Manager - Obesity, you will: 

Steer the sales team to achieve topline sales figures and growth in market share by diagnosing territory performance to identify best practices and areas for improvement. Interpret the impact of BU plans, competitor actions, and market conditions on financial forecasts while employing market surveillance to seize opportunities ahead of the competition. Champion execution excellence in marketing programs by leading field implementation, rallying team performance in metrics, and driving adoption of company tools and frameworks. Deliver patient solutions with a customer-centric approach by enhancing the sales team’s therapy knowledge, building partnerships with stakeholders, and ensuring strict adherence to business ethics and guidelines. Develop team excellence in performance and behavior by committing to operational processes, managing direct report performance, supporting career development, and fostering team morale to surpass ambitions and challenges.

 

Qualifications

A bachelor’s degree in business administration, Marketing, Management, Communications, or a related field, paired with proficiency in written and spoken English. Leadership experience in managing sales within the ethical pharmaceutical industry, demonstrating a proven track record of achieving financial targets and related metrics. Deep understanding of the current pharmaceutical landscape and market, along with experience in insight-driven and patient-centric approaches. Familiarity with omnichannel and digital strategies to enhance sales effectiveness and customer engagement. Ability to leverage industry knowledge and leadership skills to drive team performance and achieve business objectives.
