We’re seeking an **Area Sales Engineer** to drive new business growth and strengthen customer relationships within a designated UK territory. As part of Sulzer’s Services team, you’ll leverage our UK footprint and capabilities to identify opportunities, deliver bespoke solutions, and shape long-term partnerships.
**Your main tasks and responsibilities:**
+ Develop and execute a sales plan, identifying priority targets, leads, and opportunities across electro-mechanical, pump, and turbo service lines.
+ Research and understand customer profiles and market trends to tailor compelling pitches.
+ Build strong, productive relationships with both new and existing customers.
+ Collaborate closely with Service Centres and engineering teams to ensure technical solutions are delivered seamlessly.
+ Drive cross-selling and upselling opportunities, presenting Sulzer’s complete service offering.
+ Own and exceed allocated sales targets, contributing to the growth of Sulzer’s UK business.
**To succeed in this role, you will need:**
+ Proven success in sales within a fast-paced service environment.
+ Strong track record of generating new business and developing customer relationships.
+ Commercial acumen with the ability to sell value propositions.
+ Familiarity with engineering products or aftermarket services
+ Excellent communication, presentation, and organisational skills.
+ Resilient, proactive, and results-focused with a collaborative mindset.
+ Knowledge of CRM systems (e.g. Salesforce) and basic P&L understanding.
