The purpose of the Area Program Manager position is to provide strategic support and leadership to province/district - level projects within a particular province/district to maximize the WV program's impact. This role leads field-level planning and implementation in alignment with Child Sponsorship programming with Global Center’s and Support offices' new strategic initiatives, including the Sponsorship Foundational Program (SFP), by integrating core elements such as EWV, CP, and GEDSI, Adaptive Program Approach, Sponsorship initiatives (SI), into Area Program operations and planning. The position contributes to achieving the overall program goal while focusing on children and addressing the root causes of poverty by giving a holistic view of the Area Program.

Program and project management
Lead staff coordinating with Technical Program Coordinators in planning and implementing Technical programs in the AP and ensuring scope, quality, budget, and schedule are met as per planLead Development Facilitators in developing Individual Plans for their Target Areas, monitor progress and inform the Operations Director on critical issues, and implement the decisionsAnalyse Technical program and Community Engagement and Sponsorship Program guidelines, Plans, implementation processes, and progress in the Area Programs, and inform the Operations Director on critical issues with recommendations for collaborative decision-making with NO specialists.Analyse problems of the community along with the Development Facilitator and develop plans on sustainability, crosscutting elements, disaster risk reduction, and advocacy.Ensure Most Vulnerable Children assessment and mapping are done within the program area and ensure their involvement and benefiting from technical project interventions/ models.Conduct reflections and analyse implementation mechanisms for developing/adopting/sharing best practices, Lessons learned, Innovations, and Changes in the Projects and Project management approaches20%

Reporting and Knowledge Management

Other responsibilities
To support the spiritual well-being and development of team members, the AP manager will implement regular devotional times, team prayer, and spiritual retreats while modeling servant leadership and spiritual maturity in your day-to-day interactions.Actively participate in relevant capacity-building initiatives (online or in-person) and spiritual development activities such as devotions and chapels.
