Area Product Manager
**_MAIN PURPOSE OF ROLE_** Implement a marketing and sales strategy for one or more of the organization's more complex, controversial, or strategically significant products/services in order to meet established sales or market share targets. **_MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES_** _•_ Conduct market research, oversee product development and design, set prices, launch new products, oversee advertising campaigns, and monitor sales performance to effectively market assigned products/services. _•_ Monitor, analyze, and evaluate domestic and international market trends, consumer behavior and competitor activity to identify market opportunities for the product/service. _•_ Monitor, analyze, and evaluate product performance and customer feedback to generate new product ideas. _•_ Identify product/service changes to meet customer needs. _•_ Liaise with other areas of the organization (e.g., production, R&D) to implement these changes. _•_ Prepare sales forecasts and budgets. _•_ Monitor sales volume, revenues and costs against forecasts. _•_ Adapt plans to improve the sales performance of the product/service. _•_ Liaise with advertising and promotions specialists to design sales campaigns and sales collateral for the product/service that are effective and appropriate for the target audience. _•_ Train the sales force on value proposition, commercial account strategy and product value drivers **_QUALIFICATIONS_** **_Education_** _Education Level_ _Major/Field of Study_ _or_ _Equivalent_ Associates Degree (± 13 years) Masters Degree (± 18 years) in Engineering **_Experience/Background_** _Experience_ _Experience Details_ Minimum 8 years + Experience in Diagnostics, previous experience working in a Lab is preferred + Technical and scientific knowledge in Molecular Diagnostics and Blood Screening + Sales experience; EMEA areas sales experience is desirable + Experience with PR strategies and Digital Health + Ability to articulate actionable marketing strategies and execution plans in a manner that resonates with a regional sales team. + Familiarity with tools for consumer insights, competitive analysis, and trend forecasting + Experience analyzing domestic and international market dynamics + Experience using customer feedback and performance data to iterate on products + Understanding of cost structures, margins, and profitability + Ability to prepare and manage sales forecasts and marketing budgets + Familiarity with the development and execution of go-to-market plans + Familiarity with sales enablement and training programs + Can demonstrate the ability to work with advertising and creative teams to develop campaigns + Knowledge of designing sales collateral and promotional materials tailored to target audiences + Experience monitoring sales metrics and KPIs + Ability to adapt marketing and sales strategies based on performance data + Familiarity with CRM and analytics platforms + Experience liaising with internal departments to align product strategy and execution + Strong communication and stakeholder management skills + Ability to translate technical product features into customer-centric messaging **_Licenses and Certifications_** **_Language Proficiency_** _Language_ _Proficiency_ An Equal Opportunity Employer Abbot welcomes and encourages diversity in our workforce.
