Comments and Other Information OPPORTUNITY Green Dot is currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Area Operations and Finance Manager to assume responsibility for overseeing operations, continuous improvement projects, budgeting, and forecasting for a portfolio of schools in the Los Angeles area. ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES Operational Leadership & School Support > Oversee all operational and fiscal functions for assigned schools, ensuring consistent, high-quality execution across enrollment, nutrition services, facilities, security, IT, and financial operations. > Manage and support daily non-academic functions of schools, coordinating services between school-based operations teams and Home Office departments. > Provide direct supervision, coaching, and professional development to School Operations Managers, building capacity across team leadership, facilities operations, school nutrition, budgeting and payroll, procurement, student data systems, health services, event management, enrollment, and compliance. > Lead and manage operational readiness efforts for the opening and closing of each school year. Financial Planning & Resource Management > Partner with principals to develop, monitor, and refine school budgets; conduct financial analyses; and prepare monthly year-end forecast updates. > Collaborate with the Finance team to ensure the strategic and compliant use of resources, including effective oversight of restricted funds. > Strengthen procurement processes by managing vendor relationships, ensuring contract compliance, and identifying opportunities for cost savings and operational efficiency. > Analyze and leverage operational and financial data to inform both school-level and network-wide decision-making. > Partner with the Attendance Program Manager to set school-specific attendance priorities and oversee ADA strategy implementation through school operations teams, ensuring alignment, high-quality execution, and accountability for meeting ADA benchmarks that drive revenue. Facilities & Safety Management > Oversee facilities budgets, expenses, scheduling, and maintenance, while supporting budgeting processes and contributing to capital project planning under $150K. > Ensure safe, compliant, and well-maintained campuses through close collaboration with facilities and site operations teams. > Partner with school leaders and Home Office teams on facilities project planning and strategic resource allocation. Enrollment & Student Recruitment > Partner with the Director of Enrollment to establish school-specific recruitment goals and oversee implementation of recruitment and enrollment strategies. > Ensure schools execute high-quality recruitment, outreach, and enrollment processes that meet annual enrollment targets and benchmarks. > Co-lead the development and implementation of strategic network-wide recruitment and enrollment initiatives. Leadership, Collaboration & Team Management > Provide oversight for key operational domains including enrollment, facilities, procurement, security, transportation, and general school operations. > Manage and develop operations staff, promoting a culture of collaboration, service excellence, and accountability. > Build strong working relationships with school leaders to ensure equitable and consistent operational support. > Collaborate with Superintendents and Home Office Operations leadership to implement strategic initiatives and develop systems that support district-wide priorities. > Serve as the primary connector between schools and Home Office departments to ensure consistent operational practices and compliance with organizational policies.
