This means the successful candidate is expected to report to Tonawanda on a full-time basis.** **The Role:** The Manufacturing Area Manager is responsible for overseeing operations across 3 shifts of production. Responsible to manage salaried group leaders and shift leaders in the implementation and execution of the established business process for an area and foster an atmosphere of teamwork and cooperation. Work is of a technical nature using independent judgment focusing on Safety, People, Quality, Responsiveness, Cost, and Environment (SPQRCE). Possess the ability to deal with complex problems. **What You'll Do (Responsibilities):** In this role, you will coach, train, develop and evaluate employees. You will provide assistance in analyzing and solving complex manufacturing problems, and assist in obtaining resources to effectively perform operations in addition to the following: + Meets cost, schedule and quality requirements + Maintains Corporate and unit management control systems, budget and other information necessary to monitor performance in addition to maintaining safety and good housekeeping standards + Complies with the terms of local and national labor agreements + Assist in the forecasting of areas of responsibility and establishes a course of action to accomplish completion of the job or project + Working with others inside and outside the work group + Administers divisional and corporate policies Work involves a considerable amount of initiative in decision-making accompanied by a high level of independent discernment. Assists in the overall direction and coordination of manufacturing activities. **Additional Job Description** **Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications):** + Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience + 7+ yrs of automotive manufacturing leadership experience + Experience working in a union environment + Must be willing to work across 3 production shifts as needed + Experience managing cross-functional teams **What Will Give You a Competitive Edge (Preferred Qualifications):** + Track record of coaching and developing teams + Strong skills in motivation, conflict resolution, and building a high-performance culture + Ability to negotiate, resolve conflicts, and align cross-functional goals + Proven ability to translate data into actionable insights to improve performance + Experience with driving cost savings through process optimization + Ability to track and drive metrics like: OEE (Overall Equipment effectiveness), scrap rates, productivity + Strong record in maintaining or improving workplace safety standards **Compensation:** + The expected base compensation for this role is: $117,800.00 - $184,300.00.
