Key job responsibilities
- Promote a culture of safety and wellbeing
- Analyse and implement corrective actions to make sure quality and productivity are at consistently high levels, and business objectives are met across all shifts
- Support, lead and develop a team of managers, supervisors and associates; handle administrative work alongside building and supporting a strong team culture
- Analyse performance and lead process improvements to optimise quality / productivity / associate experience and cost
- Collaborate with other managers to standardise shift processes
A day in the life
You’ll work in the day and occasionally in shifts and be based at one of our operational sites. You will ensure all expected shift mechanism and metrics are under control establishing interventions while fostering safety across operations. You will achieve this through developing your team providing regular coaching and supporting their growth together with ensuring optimum labor planning . You will manage escalation and require fast intervention to fix the gaps. You also take part in medium term projects within the site or beyond your immediate area of ownership. safety standards within your team and across your site.
Being a key part of the operations team involves working with colleagues in other teams and external partners to make sure we stay on track to meet our customer demands and targets. This will involve analysing data and performance metrics with leaders in your business area, as well as discussing the operational pros and cons of technical improvements with engineers.
