Area Maintenance Tech
Basic Qualifications:This position requires a minimum of high school diploma or general education degree (GED).Certification in mechanical, electrical, or multi-craft apprenticeship is required.This position requires a minimum of five years related maintenance experience and/or training.Experience with pneumatics, hydraulics, electrical, water, PLC, welding, or analytical troubleshooting required.Availability for all shifts (including 2nd shift, 3rd shift, and weekend shift) is necessary. The ability to work overtime and weekends is required as schedules may vary based on operational needs; flexibility is essential.​Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Job Summary: The Area Maintenance Tech installs, maintains, and repairs industrial equipment and facility infrastructure by performing the following duties.

Essential Functions & Job Responsibilities:

Coordinate work orders priorities for production equipment to less experienced maintenance personnel.Attend meetings with manufacturing and engineering personnel to develop scopes of work and action plans for equipment repair and improvements.Inspects, troubleshoot, and repair production equipment to ensure specific operational performance and optimum utilization.Use a variety of electrical and mechanical diagnostic tools such as multimeters, leak detectors, and hand tools.Identify the root cause of equipment breakdowns including gearboxes, motors, pumps, blowers, valves, vacuum pumps, and hydraulic systems.Develops maintenance processes and procedures to improve equipment uptime. Leads work efforts for specific project tasks. Trains and mentors less experienced maintenance personnel.Must comply with all company attendance policies and guidelines; this includes, but is not limited to, regular attendance and occasional overtime.Ability to work in team environments, Solo work and working with all levels management.Willing to participate in continuous improvements initiatives within our process to enhance the work task.Other duties as assigned.

Skills and Abilities:

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.  Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and electrical diagrams.Ability to manage multiple tasks and assign task priority.Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.  Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.  Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
