Role Intent
+ Day to day delivery of I&C Engineering support for site operations
+ Deliver safe and effective operations by managing risks, addressing queries and minor modifications activities
+ Collaborates with Central Engineering team to identify and define engineering solutions to reduce risk and grow installed production capacity.
Key Accountabilities
+ Promotes a culture of open safety reporting and continuous improvement.
+ Provides immediate front line support for Operations and Maintenance teams to resolve minor issues and escalate more significant issues to the Central Engineering Team.
+ Ensures asset I&C Engineering risks are understood, controlled, managed and reduced. Scope include Instrumented Control Safety Systems, HMI, System Security, Package Interfaces, Fire and Gas and Safety Systems.
+ Participates in a variety of asset and project risk assessments
+ Management of overrides and drives systematic closure / resolution where required.
+ Monitors health of I&C equipment and associated operating envelopes, recording and investigating all Safe Operating Limit excursions.
+ Monitors I&C KPIs (safety overrides, alarm metrics, control loop performance) and initiates corrective actions as necessary.
+ Supports safe delivery of controller tuning activities
+ Provides I&C support to technical MoCs and Engineering Queries
+ Acts as technical interface with Projects and Modifications organisation, including development of Statements of Requirements (SORs) and Project Initiation Requests (PIRs) and Decision Support Packages (DSPs)
+ Supports delivery of Production Efficiency Improvement and Defect Elimination processes for ICSS and automation systems (including simple investigations for deferrals and vulnerabilities)
+ Identifies production vulnerabilities and optimization opportunities to
+ support production forecast and grow production capacity.
+ Acts as technical custodian of critical site drawings and registers (C&Es, Loop Drawings, System Architecture Drawings, Tuning Parameter Register)
+ Collaborates with Central Maintenance team on spares management, equipment health and obsolescence management.
+ Performs follow-up actions and observations from self-verification checks that are related to I&C Engineering e.g. Overrides
+ Participates in Start Up Readiness and Assurance Reviews
+ Provides coaching to junior engineers.
Experience, Qualifications & Key Skills
+ Above 8 Years experience in O&G industry (Preferable with IOC’s direct or contract)
+ Professional (Chartered) Engineer Preferred
+ Technical degree in Engineering or allied engineering subject.
+ Experience in previous asset engineering / operations engineering role
+ Practical exposure to production facilities
+ Excellent communication, interpersonal and coaching skills
+ Strong bias for being proactive and getting results
+ Excellent IT skills – Office suite, document management, applications for CMMS and Change Management.
+ Contribute to an environment in which all team members are respected regardless of their individual differences and are motivated to improve both their individual and team contributions to achieve desired business results
+ Skilled in behaviour change management
