Area Agronomy Manager
Role Summary:

The Area Agronomy Manager will be responsible for driving agronomic excellence across the designated region to support the growth and performance of the Seeds business. This role involves providing technical expertise, developing agronomy strategies, supporting field teams, and engaging with farmers and channel partners to ensure optimal crop performance and product adoption.

Key Responsibilities:

Technical Leadership:

Provide agronomic support for seed products including crop management practices, soil health, pest and disease control, and irrigation strategies.Develop and deliver training programs for field staff, channel partners, and farmers on best agronomic practices.

Field Support & Trials:

Design and manage field trials and demonstrations to validate product performance and generate local data.Analyze trial results and provide insights to the sales and product development teams.

Farmer Engagement:

Conduct field visits and farmer meetings to promote seed technologies and agronomic solutions.Address farmer queries and provide customized recommendations based on local conditions.

Collaboration & Strategy:

Work closely with sales, marketing, and product development teams to align agronomy efforts with business goals.Support product launches with agronomic positioning and technical content.

Data & Reporting:

Maintain records of field activities, trial results, and farmer feedback.Prepare periodic reports and presentations for internal stakeholders.Qualifications & Experience:Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Agronomy, Agriculture Science, or related field.5–8 years of experience in agronomy or technical support roles within the agri-inputs or seeds industry.Strong understanding of crop production systems, especially relevant to the region.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work independently and manage multiple field activities.

Preferred Skills:Experience with digital agronomy tools and data analysis.Familiarity with regulatory and compliance aspects related to seed trials and demonstrations.Fluency in local language(s) and willingness to travel extensively.
