Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Assistant Resident Engineer (ARE) specializing in Electrical/Mechanical systems to join our team in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. As a key member of our engineering department, you will play a crucial role in overseeing and managing electrical and mechanical aspects of our projects, ensuring quality, efficiency, and compliance with industry standards.

Supervise and coordinate electrical and mechanical works on various construction projectsConduct regular site inspections to ensure adherence to project specifications, approved drawings, and applicable standardsReview and approve technical submittals, shop drawings, and method statements related to electrical and mechanical systemsCollaborate with the project team to resolve technical issues and implement effective solutionsMonitor project progress and prepare detailed reports on electrical and mechanical worksEnsure compliance with local regulations, international standards, and project-specific requirementsCoordinate with contractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders to maintain project timelines and quality standardsParticipate in project meetings and provide expert advice on electrical and mechanical mattersOversee testing, commissioning, and handover processes for electrical and mechanical systemsImplement and maintain quality control procedures for all electrical and mechanical installationsAnalyze project data and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency and performance

QualificationsBachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical EngineeringMinimum of 7 years of experience in electrical and mechanical systems inspection and managementStrong understanding of electrical and mechanical engineering principlesProficiency in using various inspection tools and equipmentExcellent ability to read and interpret complex technical drawings and specificationsExperience with AutoCAD or similar design softwareStrong written and verbal communication skillsIn-depth knowledge of Sewage Treatment Plant systems and processes (preferred)Familiarity with local UAE and international engineering standardsProfessional engineering certification (e.g., PE) is highly desirableKnowledge of project management principlesExperience working in the UAE or Middle East region is advantageousAbility to work collaboratively in a team environmentWillingness to work on-site and travel as required for project inspectionsDetail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skillsExcellent organizational and time management abilities
