Join us. **Job Description** **AECOM** is currently seeking a **Project Manager** with a strong architectural background and preferably with an active architectural license to join our growing team in one of the following offices: **San Franciso, Oakland, Los Angeles, Sacramento or San Jose, CA.** This is an opportunity to lead impactful architectural projects from planning and design through construction, while collaborating across disciplines in a dynamic, global design environment. As a Project Manager, you will oversee the full lifecycle of architectural projects — from initial concept development through construction completion. You will lead project teams, interface directly with clients, ensure design and documentation quality, and help drive project delivery success. As a dynamic team of Architects, Planners, and Engineers we strive to incorporate beauty, sustainability, resiliency, and innovation in our projects. **The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:** + Lead and manage architectural projects through all phases of design and construction + Coordinate multidisciplinary project teams to ensure design quality, technical accuracy, and timely delivery + Serve as primary client contact throughout project development + Oversee the preparation and review of design documentation and construction drawings + Monitor project schedules, budgets, and deliverables in alignment with client expectations + Support internal resourcing, consultant coordination, and team performance + Ensure compliance with applicable codes, regulations, and AECOM standards + May manage various size groups of architects, designers and/or specialists. + May work on modest size projects and/or assist Project Architectural or Engineering Managers with higher grades. + Responsible for providing architectural guidance, calculations, analysis, studies and recommendations for a specialized segment of the Architectural Discipline within the schedules and budget of an assigned project. **Qualifications** **Minimum Requirements:** + Bachelor’s from an accredited program 6+ years of professional experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education. + Experience in architectural project management, including experience in California market. + Proven experience managing projects of varying scales and complexities. + Proficiency in design and project management software, such as Revit, AutoCAD, and MS Project. **Preferred Qualifications:** + Master’s degree in Architecture from an accredited program. + Licensed Architect in California. + LEED Accreditation or experience with sustainable design practices. + Strong understanding of California building codes, zoning regulations, and permitting processes. + Exceptional communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills. + Experience with public and private sector projects, including mixed-use, commercial, and institutional developments. + Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment. **Additional Information** + This position will not offer sponsorship now or in the future. Offered rate of compensation will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location.
