D.R. Horton, Inc. is currently looking for a Architectural Plans Coordinator. The right candidate will assist in coordinating and tracking residential projects. Assist in directing outside architectural and engineering firms in plan and project coordination.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Manage outside architects and engineers in the development of new plans and new product implementation as directed by senior managementAssist with correspondence to outside consultants, architects, and engineering firms on project timelines, project requests, plan corrections, code updates, and construction issuesAid in working with job site personnel to coordinate plan changes and respond to plan discrepancies and/or questions, as well as facilitating correspondence between outside consultants and job site personnelAssist in the coordination of plan changes and/or plan corrections with internal company departments to include purchasing, marketing, sales, operations, and constructionMaintain updates to file organization with operations/construction/purchasing departments and outside consultantsMaintain updates to plan marketing material with operations/sales/marketing departmentSustain updates to project task lists with operations departmentPreserve updates to plans with purchasing and operations department Coordinate and track new community projects and master sets as directed by senior managementReview architectural plans and construction documents utilizing a basic understandingReview architectural plans for building code compliance and builder’s predetermined construction compliance detailsReview structural framing, roof trusses, and foundation plans for value engineeringVerify architectural, structural engineering, roof trusses and foundation are correct and accuratePerform routine on-site inspections to verify architectural plan compliance with the construction department as necessaryConducts all business in a professional and ethical manner to serve customers and increase the goodwill and profit of the companyAbility to work overtime

Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or universityOne to three years of related experience and/or trainingStrong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skillsOrganized and ability to learn and follow structured proceduresAbility to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written oral form or via DRH applicationsProficiency with MS Office and emailAbility to sit for majority of 8-hour workday; use hands and fingers to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and peripheral visionThe noise level is generally moderate
