**Job Description**
Join AECOM as an Architectural Inspector, where you will play a crucial role in confirming that architectural elements within our construction projects meet the highest standards of quality and compliance. This position offers the opportunity to work on diverse and challenging projects, including those involving historic properties, while collaborating with a team of dedicated professionals.
**Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:**
+ Assist in reviewing architectural submittals, shop drawings, and material samples to confirm consistency with contract documents.
+ Conduct inspections of architectural components, including materials, finishes, and workmanship, to verify adherence to approved plans and specifications.
+ Monitor the installation of architectural elements such as doors, windows, flooring, ceilings, and exterior finishes for quality and accuracy.
+ Maintain accurate and detailed inspection records, including daily logs, reports, photographs, and necessary documentation.
+ Identify and document deficiencies, deviations, or defects in construction and report findings to the Lead Inspector or Project Manager.
+ Conduct follow-up inspections to confirm remedial work has been completed satisfactorily.
+ Conduct labor interviews with contractor and subcontractor employees periodically to verify that workers are correctly classified and are being paid the correct wages.
+ Immediately notify the construction contractor, the COR, or other GSA officials if a potentially life-threatening safety condition is observed.
+ Oversee corrective actions for unacceptable construction work and verify implementation of approved corrective actions for identified non-conformances.
+ Support the Lead Inspector in coordination efforts but does not have decision-making authority over major project elements.
**Qualifications**
**Minimum Requirements**
+ BA/BS +0 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
**Preferred Requirements:**
+ Experience working on GSA-managed construction projects
+ 2 years of experience in construction inspection
+ OSHA 10-hour training certification
+ Experience in reviewing contractor shop drawings and submittals
+ Experience working in and around historic properties
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office Software
+ Experience working with GSA Project Management Systems

Offered compensation will be based on location and individual qualifications. The expected range is $85,000.00 - $100,000.00.
