Seeking an Architect for immediate employment in Virginia Beach, VA. The selected individual will assist in the development of task order proposals; support the management team in tracking task budgets, monitor activity schedules, and implement product quality standards; and otherwise support the Project and Program Managers. The Architect will assist in the management of technical and administrative staff on a wide variety of complex projects worldwide.The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:•\tThis position will manage and lead federal projects and programs, for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), Naval Facilities Engineering Systems Command (NAVFAC), the U.S. Air Force, or other Federal Agencies•\tEnsure project completion within budget, schedule, and in conformance with specifications•\tReview contracts and sub-contracts and assist management of subcontractors•\tMonitor project financials and report to the Project Manager•\tDevelop and maintain design schedules for approval•\tManage and direct professional and technical staff to complete complex architectural and engineering projects•\tResolv field-initiated questions with the technical design team•\tCoordinate and direct activities among the design groups•\tParticipate and attend design review meetings recording meeting minutes and tracking action items•\tCoordinate the development of project deliverables with the design team•\tParticipate in building and maintaining a positive client relationship

•\tBachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management or Architecture plus six (6) years of relevant industry experience, (4 years as a Project Manager ), or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education;•\tDue to the nature of this work, U.S. citizenship is required•\tRegistered Architect, Professional Engineer (PE) license, or Certified Construction Manager (CCM) is required for this position•\tProfessional experience developing design reports, drawings, and specifications•\tProfessional experience in managing subcontractors•\tProfessional experience in services during construction, including answering RFI’s and reviewing submittals

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $52.00/hr.
