Join us and design your place with Stantec. **Your Opportunity** As an Architect, you’ll work closely with your team, including senior designers and architects to develop solutions tailored to client needs. You’ll contribute to all phases of design and documentation, from concept through construction, while helping to advance sustainable, high-performance design strategies across our projects. **Your Key Responsibilities** + **Lead and contribute** to exciting architectural projects, from concept to construction. + **Bring ideas to life** through sketches, 3D models, and BIM documentation. + **Collaborate closely** with clients, consultants, and internal teams to shape meaningful spaces. + **Navigate codes and regulations** to ensure design excellence and compliance. + **Support project delivery** through specifications, cost estimates, and construction reviews. + **Champion quality** by following best practices and contributing to continuous improvement. **Your Capabilities and Credentials** + **K–12 Experience:** Prior experience with K–12 educational projects—especially in NYC Public Schools—is highly valued. + **Code Knowledge:** Solid understanding of accessibility standards and applicable building codes. + **Technical Expertise:** Familiarity with building systems, materials, and construction methods. + **Design & Documentation:** + Proficient in developing floor plans, wall sections, and architectural details. + Able to manage time effectively and ensure accuracy in your work. + Experienced in all phases of architectural documentation and coordination. + **Construction Administration:** + Able to independently lead onsite meetings and produce field reports and meeting minutes. + Review submittals and RFI’s and maintain status logs. + **Creative Collaboration:** + Comfortable working in a team setting and contributing to design discussions. + Skilled in hand sketching and communicating design ideas clearly. + Able to interpret and integrate input from engineering and other disciplines. + **Software Proficiency:** + Proficient in Revit, AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Suite, Bluebeam, SketchUp, and Newforma. + Open to learning new modeling tools to support design exploration and communication **Education and Experience** + Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture or related field. + Registered Architect or on track towards registration. + Minimum of 5 years of experience. + LEED Green Associate or LEED AP preferred but not essential. _This description is not a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that may be required of the employee and other duties, responsibilities and activities may be assigned or may be changed at any time with notice._ Stantec is a place where the best and brightest come to build on each other's talents, do exciting work, and make an impact on the world around us.
