Job Description

AECOM is actively seeking to a part-time Archaeologist II for our Seattle, WA office.  Our business focuses primarily on providing professional and technical services in Archaeology, consultation, and environmental services for a wide variety of clients both in the private and public sectors. 

Our business line executes large and complex engineering projects and provide a comprehensive range of professional planning and design, systems engineering and technical assistance, program and construction management, and operations and maintenance services. 

The selected individual will assist with complex challenges in, environment and permitting. Our teams partner with public- and private-sector clients in a wide variety of projects. The job responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

Performs standard scientific work requiring application of techniques and procedures.Detects problems when using standardized procedures because of the condition of sample, difficulties with the equipment, etc.Conducts specific phases of projects for more experienced scientists.Proposes appropriate analytical methods and techniques. Assists in providing advice and consulting services within scope of scientific knowledge.Draws conclusions and makes recommendations based on analysis.Interprets and records data, conducts analyses, compares findings to relevant studies and local, state and federal regulations to ensure compliance.Works under general supervision.

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

BA/BS in Archaeology or related field + 2 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or educationValid U.S Driver's License and as a condition of employment, must pass AECOM's Motor Vehicle Records ReviewDue to the nature of work, US Citizenship is required

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Masters Degree in Archaeology or related field3+ years of experience in Archaeology and Design initiatives Understanding with Federal and State regulations Project management experienceExperience with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)Strong technical report writing skills and the ability to develop design specifications
