Our team solves tough, meaningful problems that create a safer, more secure world. Raytheon is looking for a Scrum Master in the Arbitrary Agile Release Train (ART) for Team Alpha. The Scrum Master is responsible for facilitating the Scrum process and helping the team work effectively. They act as a servant-leader, guiding the team in adopting and adhering to Scrum principles and practices. This involves removing impediments, coaching the team, and fostering a collaborative environment. The scope of this team includes advanced signal processing applications associated with Arbitrary Waveforms. These activities span software, firmware and hardware interactions. The Scrum Master is expected to work hand-in-hand with the Product Owner as well as the Release Train Engineer (RTE) for impediment removal, continuous improvement, metric roll-up, and JIRA validation. **What You Will Do:** **Facilitating Scrum Events:** + Ensuring the team conducts daily stand-up meetings effectively, focusing on progress, impediments, and plans for the day. + Helping the team understand and commit to the sprint goals and plan the work for the sprint. + Facilitating the review of the completed work at the end of the sprint, gathering feedback, and adapting the product backlog. + Guiding the team in reflecting on the past sprint, identifying areas for improvement, and creating action items. **Removing Impediments:** + Identifying and removing obstacles that hinder the team's progress, whether they are technical, process-related, or interpersonal. + Working with the team to find solutions and escalate issues when necessary. + Protecting the team from distractions and interruptions. **Fostering a Positive Team Environment:** + Promoting open communication, transparency, and collaboration. **Provide Support to the Product Owner:** + Helping define and manage the product backlog. + Facilitating communication between the team and the Product Owner. + Ensuring the Product Owner understands Scrum principles and practices. **Qualifications You Must Have:** + Requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 2 years of prior relevant experience, or an advanced degree in a related field. + Experience with software development, test, and/or integration using C, C++ or Ada. + Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
