APS-4: Force Sustainment System Specialist
Title: APS-4: Force Sustainment System Specialist Belong, Connect, Grow, with KBR! This position supports the Army Prepositioned Stocks – 4 Program located in Sagami General Depot, Japan. The Force Sustainment System Specialist will comply with all applicable safety and environmental regulations, local safety policies, and KBR’s Zero Harm program. Job Summary Force Sustainment Systems Specialist will provide on-site support for COSIS, configuration support, to include, overall accountability, maintenance, readiness, configuration, supply, storage and reporting upgrades, modifications, conversions, SOUMs, MAMs and MWOs, to AFSBn-NEA / APS-4, in Japan, supporting Force Provider Systems, Collective Support Systems, Soldier Support Systems, Chapel Systems, Shower Systems, and Container Systems requirements and other support needed by AFSBn-NEA / APS-4, to include weapons. He/she must also perform Quality Control (QC) checks and monitor COSIS actions on small arms or other sensitive items. The Force Sustainment Systems Specialist must have a working knowledge of these websites: Logistics Support Activity (LOGSA), Defense Logistics Agency Shelf-Life Management, Joint Acquisition CBRN Knowledge System (JACKS), Hazardous Materials Information Resource System (SDS), and Army Knowledge Online (AKO) for DoD and Army Regulations relating to equipment repair, storage, maintenance, and issue. Occasionally directed travel to Korea may be required. Performs other duties as assigned. Roles and Responsibilities + Ability to work from technical manuals, work instructions, and work orders. + Ability to comply with all established methods, quality standards, and time schedules applicable to this position. Basic Qualifications (Required Education, Experience, Skills, and Certifications) + Must be a U.S. Citizen with a valid U.S. Passport. + Ability to obtain and keep an active Secret Clearance is mandatory. + Possess a valid State Motor Vehicle Operator License. + High School/GED plus five years directly related work experience. + Certification from a vocational school or other recognized source such as military service-related Advanced Individual Training is preferred. + In lieu of formal course work, a combination of college credits, on-the-job training, other formalized training, or experience may be considered. + Ability to lift 50 pounds to waist level and 35 pounds to shoulder height. + Required to pass initial and periodic medical screening.
